Which clutch for JDM YS1 cable trans?
Do I get the 92-93 GSR clutch or the 94-01 Integra clutch. I was told the 94-01 but I thought you get the clutch to match the year of the car the trans came from? This is from a XSi btw. Thanks
s1 / j1 / y1 = small trannie shaft 90-91 clutch
ys1 b16 trannie = big shaft 92-01 clutch
the only difference between cable and hydro is the thro out bearing
so you can use a clutch and pressure plate for a 92-01 teg but you must use a cable 90-93 throw out bearing
ys1 b16 trannie = big shaft 92-01 clutch

Ahhh ok. So I'm better off buying a kit made for a 92-93 GSR then since the TO bearing will fit as well as the clutch assembly? Thanks guys!

Correct, but just to clarify, the YS1 (short geared) came on the B17 equipped 92 and 93 GSR. The YS1 (long geared) came on all other 92-93 5 spd INtegras.
