e brake tension
last week i put all new brakepads on my car, adjusted the e brake according to the articleeverything was fine,e brake held tight after about 3-4 clicks, i snapped a lug nut torquing down my wheels,so i had to disassemble my passenger rear brakes to replace the stud..
after doing so the e brake isnt tight like it was,now it takes about 6-8 clicks to hold, how or what would cause the e brake to lose its tension like i previously had it,i was gonna try to re-adjust it but the adjusting nut (under center console)is almost as tight as it will go,it has more room to play with but im not sure if its good to have that nut adjusted so far to get tension in the e brake. can any light be shed on this,i dont like having to pull my e brake so far up to get it to hold,i like it to grab fuly by 6 clicks..also if im driving and yank the e brake to lock up the wheels, they wont lock up but slow down gradually..
thanks for any insight..
also the rear calipers are only about a year old and are working fine...
