Default K20 engine swap

A few weeks ago I had a post about dropping a F20C into my 94 Integra. many said it would be easier to drop a K20 into my car. Which do you think would be the easier swap? And why?

k20, the mounts are out now, and it weighs less than the f20c.

the K20A is very similar to the F20C, of course with the exception of the VTC on the K20A.

I believe they have different bell housing mount patterns, so a mounting a FWD tranny to the F20C would require a custom bell housing ($$$). Since the K20 can be swapped in with the available mounts AND it is FWD, that would be the choice.

The K20 responds very well to mods. The F20C is almost maxed out from the factory and bolt ons won't yield much power at all.

on another note,
I've actually entertained the idea of swapping a K20 into my S2000. I'm sure I could trade my F20 for a K20 and some cash. The only problem is mounting the S2000 tranny to a K20.

This problem with swapping the F20 into EG/EK/DC2/etc has really helped keep S2000 thefts down. Thanks Honda.

Seems to me like Honda should just dump the F20 and put the K20 (modified for more power of course) into the S2000. It'd certainly save them a lot on production costs for the S2000 by not having to maintain a special factory for that one unique engine. Thefts shouldn't be that much of a problem even then, because the S2000 would still require a totally different transmission. What good is stealing an engine if you have to steal a transmission from somewhere else to use it?

well the block is a little different. F and K series trannies are not interchangeable. I think Honda wants to keep the S's engine unique.
