Anymore pics? looks like plenty is still there. Is the motor/tranny gone? I ask because I noticed the shifter was still there.

everything under hood is still intact, my friend wanted to buy back the car, Geico said no, they don't sell the car back to the owner, cause of fraud issues.

Geico SUCKS!!!

That ****** sucks. Make sure he reads through ALL his insurance paper work to make sure they aren't jacking him. If thats true then thats really shitty because that car can be fixed.

yeah, we were planning on bringing back to life again, Geico shot down our dreams, we'll see if we can work something out with Geico, this is really stupid, has to be some loophole somewhere.

Thanks for the replies.

Tell your friend to have the damage assessed at $1 below total. He keeps the car with a clean title. That is your friend's car, not Geico's. If it is totaled, report the total to Carfax to screw the insurance company. That way, they can reconstruct it with a clean title. (Probably won't happen in HI because it isn't easy to reregister in another state.)

After looking at the damage, why is this car totaled?

the car is totaled cuz the damage on it exceeds the price (kbb) of the car. I think its something like that. I mean i know it didnt technically get in an accident. But all those parts taht are missing will cost a lot of money to replace.

It is totaled cause the amount to replace stuff was more than 75% or so of the car value. Almost happened to my 93 teg then it got jacked the body shop was nice and pointed out it wasn't so bad (should have been totaled) and they fixed it bill was abour 4-5 grand to replace everything taken and damage done. Also i know it is off topic but someone tried to steal my 92 teg the other day. I walked out to see my window seal pushed down in a spot the size of a slim jim in the right spot to!!! WTF! luckly alarm went off and they bolted. Man if i catch someone stealing a car they are dead

**** that sucks!!!! fight that **** bro!!! tell your friend not to give up!! That **** is so worth buyin back... only superficial items were takin looks like... all of that **** can easily be replaced n repaired by u n ur buddy!! don't let it fall into the hands of some junk yard or half assed dirt lot car repair/sales joint for them to piece back together. Follow through with what they do with the cars. perhaps you can by the car from them, and ur buddy can give you the money.. then you can transfer the title to your friend as a "gift" no taxes need to be paid then.

Sounds good yeah, the car is repairable but them stupid **** at Geico are giving him a problem, we'll see if we can fight that ****, It would be great to see him back with his ride in no time. I would be more than happy to help him fix up his ride. Thx for the nice comments dudes.

yup, they hacksawed it and pulled off the club. The club is rubbish, This is what I bought for my car after my buddy's got stolen:

All the details on it are here:
http://shop.store.yahoo.com/rodi/law1910.html

Bought it at my local dept store for 45bucks Plus Taxes.

This thing looks and feels solid, only thing it is a pain to manuver and put on, take off.... Oh well, Safe is better than sorry.
