hah just jdm'ed out my cluster and you can do it too! just get yellow paint, paint brush, and '194 amber' bulbs hehe

well... here are the final results (downside for me is that the RPM and speedometer needles dont move... well speedometer does after goin 10 mph... but RPMS were working but stopped... hopefully they will fix themselves)

some pics!

so its jdm color... but uhm it's still not kilometers... if yer speedo is not workin properly you must have pulled on the cable in the back, you can either get it recalibrated but doubt it's going to fix itself... the rpms is connected to a plug, if its not working chances are it's not fully plugged in...

One of the reason why I avoid all this DIY "JDM" mods. Should've just bought an ITR cluster, not expensive at all (usually under $175)

nah, didnt break the needles cuz the speedometer works after ur goin like 10 mph... and the RPMS were working dunno y it stopped... mayb the paint on the needles is too heavy? sticking to the thing the needle rests on?

yea... maybe the thing is sticking to something... have u tried opening it up again and trying to figure it out? I dont think its cuz the needles are too heavy (depends on how many coats u put)

DO NOT REMOVE NEEDLE FROM CLUSTER it will stop working properly....I did same thing like how you did yours....my temp was across the overheating line, rpm needle didnt move, mph started at 40, the only thing working was gas. Im looking for a LS cluster....someone have one...pm me...thanks

okay... so if you're not supposed to move the needles from the cluster, then how are you supposed to spray paint it?? Do you just have to tape up all the stuff behind it first?

removing the needles isn't the end of the world.. Are they dragging/sticking on the faces? Did u push them down too tight? When u put them back on, make sure the cluster is in your car all set to go. Turn the key on (just to ur lights come on, not the car) that way it 0's out the little pins where the needles go, then i usually line the needles up w/ the little pin sticking out @ the 0, and pop it back on. However, the temp, and gas guage may be a little trickier gj on the diy

Doesn't look like a JDM ITR cluster at all to me. But, for attempting this, nonetheless.

he's the one that said he made a jdm itr cluster, people are just responding to it. Maybe he would've gotten a better response in the appearence forum on this paticular mod. Or maybe he could've never used the letter jdm, and just said I painted my needles yellow and added amber lights.......cause that's all he did

jweezy, get my switches for your JDM folding mirrors, and you'll really be looking JDM y0 ............ j/k

if you read a few posts above you, you would see that he figured out why the rpm gauge wasn't moving, it was just paint sticking. Now everything is working fine.

You did a good job man, even though it's not authentic, it looks cool. Should have just used a little paint brush and some of that detail modeling paint from any craft/hobby store. There was a diy article over at Team-integra.net on this also. might want to check it out if someone else decides to do this. do a search because it's not in the article section though.
