I just noticed that on the cluster of my '94 hatch, there are 3 spots that don't light up and there isn't anything there to light up. One is on the left, next to the oil light, and the other two are on either side of the parking brake light. Are there lights on the other '92-'95 Civics? Or is it just Honda putting a useless item in their cars?

 

on other models theres one for abs system and i think there is a couple that arent ever use. mayb its to make it look even on both side

 

abs, shift light (vx) and i cant think of the other one.

Not on the Si. My Cruise Control light is near my fuel gauge

 

Gas light? CEL? It would help alot if you took pictures.

could it be one of these...SRS indicator light, washer lever indicator?

 

i actually filled in two of my empty spaces with shift lights... one to light up to tell me to get ready and one to light up when i should shift... i havent decided what to do with the other empty spaces yet... theres about 5 or 6 total empty ones on my 98 ex coupe

i just bought one of those tachs that has the shift lights and i just tore it apart and routed the led wires to lights i put in the dash... waste of a tach just for some lights... im sure theres better ways to do it... i shoved the tach behind the dash so if the shift points ever get reset or lost i still have a way to set them again

 

You could have just bought a shift light...

 

yeah... but at the time when i did that i never thought of that... it was easy to just buy a tach with shift lights, set the shift points, and solder a wire to go to the dash for the light...

looks real nice in the cluster and out of the way
