Default no power to the amp

here's my scenario..turned on my car no power..found out the neg to my battery was loose. and i tightned it back up and now my amp has no power! i checked both the fuse from the power cable and then the ones on the amp. they all look fine but there is still no power going to my amp. any suggestions? thanks

Yes, grab a test light. check for power before and after the fuse holder to the amp in the engine compartment. Sometimes the fuse looks good but is open at the ends thus creating a bad or intermitent contact. Solution; install a new fuse.

If this does not solve the problem, continue checking with the test light and go to the amp to check for power at the "Bat" connection, then at "Rem" for power coming from the HU. This test will tell you what's wrong with the install.

Is the HU working fine?

If all the check points are ok at the amp, then you have a problem in the amp.

thanks, i got myself a test light and i had a bad ground..i dunno why cuz it was working before. now i have it grounded somewhere behind the rear seats and it's up and running!
