Testing waters: Tanabe Sustec Pro Coilovers for ITR
I've got a post in the classifieds, i'm just debating on wether or not i should actually sell them. Right now they are on the car, so before i could sell them i'd have to take them off and get something else on there. And because they will only work on ITR's, or regular integras with ITR LCA's I wanted to see if anyone would be interested in them here. They are great, it's just that i don't really need them as i don't Auto-X or drive my car very hard at all.
Not sure of the spring rates, but they are adjustable, 5 adjustments in the rear i think and 4 in the front. The guy who had the car before me put them on, not I, so I don't know a whole lot about them.

I just went to that website and the cheapest tanabe coilovers they had for the prelude were still over $900, and weren't even these same ones. Also, they list the ones i have for the ITR at over $1100. I'd be willing to let these go for $800 plus shipping.

You should trade them for someone's stock setup and some cash. However, unless there's a specific reason why you want to take them off, I'd keep them. They are 1100 for a reason.

i have yet to install mine on the bb6 but I can tell you from research it's suppose to be a very compliant ride. It was designed more for street that anything else. Secondary helper springs prevent preload on main spring, dual shock body and low pressure gas (increase shock travel), adjustable dampening, soft spring rate (8kf/4kr on the bb6) I was planning on switching front and rear springs but the dampers are matched to the specific spring rates....

Well, i have the stock shocks and springs also, the guy who had the car before me had both. I'm going to go back to the stock suspension for a while. I don't need full on coilovers for just a Daily driver so i'd rather sell them while they are practically new instead of waiting till they're old and worn out. Thanks for the tech info, i found the specs of the springs on Tanabe's website, and here it is:
Model Year, Spring Rates F/R, Height Adj.F/R, Part #, MSRP Integra Type R, 97-01, 6.0 / 4.0, +1/4~-2in / +1/4~-1 3/4in, TSS041, $1,200.00
I'm pretty sure the units they use are kg/mm so, 6.0kg/mm in front and 4.0 kg/mm in the rear for anyone who is interested.
