Ok i know i saw a yellow type r for sale a an Acura dealership last week. I drove by and its sold already. I am looking for other type r's in maryland.

Taxes suck...You have to pay double taxes if you buy it from another state. Are you talking about the itr at Frankel Acura?

 

I already have one, i wanna meet people in Maryland who have one also. See whos going to the EXPO and what not.

 

Yea i was talkin about frankel, and i got mine in VA and didn't pay double taxes. You only pay tax in the state u register it.

yea someone told me you have to pay taxes twice also....i never even payed taxes on my car maybe its because i bought it from a person....but

 

the next time this "person" tells you guys that you have to pay taxes twice, hit him with the idiot stick.. because he is one..

i lived in MD for 3 years.. bought 4 cars from out of state while I was there.. 3 from private parties, 1 from a very small dealer.. you only pay the tax once..

the double tax thing they are talking about has to do with if you move to Maryland.. if you move there and transfer your title/registration, Maryland makes you pay tax AGAIN. And I agree that it is the stupidist thing on earth, but it has nothing to do with buying or selling a car there..

 

Well, i know Flordia and Calif if you are buying it from there, and lets say you live in virginia, you pay California State Tax for transfering title (theirs is electronic) and then taxes in your state when you register it. So you pay double taxes. I only think it applies to how you are buying it, and where you are buying it from.

 

I'm pretty sure you're wrong about FL, but I have no idea about CA.. never dealt with a transaction from there and that state is so F'd up that I wouldn't be surprised.. but I doubt you're paying sales tax twice..

 

yea so anyway...... is anyone in here from MD? And if you are, are u goin to the expo?

I was talking to some people the other day and they said (from what they know) there are like 3 including mine, ITRs near the Baltimore area. Ne one in here from around there?

 

there's like 6 actually.. not counting mine that just left there last month.. and all but 1 are on here..

plus there's a few more that we've seen, but don't know where they live..

 

ok cool, well i am just trying to meet some people near me to talk to, what not. I would like to meet people who actually know something about ITR's and just don't druel over them like alot of the kids i know around here do with GSR's. (nothing against gsr's, they kick ***)

I'm in MD, though my R is out of action for a few more days. I will be going to the Expo, and I have a group of people getting together to hook up with the caravan. What part of MD are you in?

I'm over in Germantown, but I'll be moving to a new place the weekend of the Expo, so now I can't go
