Eagle cranks?
hey guys im thinking about stroking my b18a1 with a eagle stroker kit what do u guy thinks also swapping out the head for b16a vtec head so et me know also im cant decide whats better for this setup hondata or aem ems will hondata support 350whp to 400whp with the right setup let me know what u guys think
I heard the billet eagle crank redlines at 10,000 rpm with the custom block and sleeves you can redline at 11000 rods maybe even 12000 if you get custom valve springs and titanium valves it should hold fine no problems when you hit the rev limiter and shift the moter but the cams shoudl be high rpm cams too and sprockets also to be safe you put a girdle and even deck plate too to make it safer and the head if it b16 should be ok at high rpm and the engine management you listed is good for controlling rpm so your engine will be ok
thanx for the info but still have so ?s on engine managment will hondata support up to 350 to 400 whp or should i just go with aem ems once again thanx for the info
Hondata should be for anything NA and 350-400 turbo it is fine for as well. I'm not sure why you want a stroker crank in an LS motor. They have the longest stroke of any of the B series motors. What are your goals and what is the stroke of the eagle crank?

Why, because you heard stroking it is cool? You do not need more low end torque in a FWD honda, end of story. Save the money you would have spent on an unneccisary eagle crank, rods, and some custom pistons and spend it on sleeves. Why do you want to stroke it, when people are making 400 WHP and a lot more on the stock crank. All a stroker kit is going to do is further your traction issues.

yeah i thought that stroking would be cool not to many cars around here that r done up like that i wanted to be diffrent but really i want performance more than anything so if its going to limit traction at the low end what about high rpms

I'm shifting my GSR motor are 9700 and I've gone over 10 thousand after a missed shift before. A well-setup LS motor can turn 9000+ without issue.
