Back From Europe! Sweet cars inside, Ferarri Museum
Well, I thought I would share my trip to Europe in a somewhat consolidated manner for those who are interested. If you have any questions about what the trip was like or where to visit or something similar drop me a line I'd love to give some tips.
First off, I had a 12 night cruise on the Millennium which is a Celebrity cruise line ship. My first thoughts were, holy **** that boat is insanely huge. When we were first in port in Barcelona, Spain the ship was so large that we only saw the aft when boarding because of very large building blocking the view, but later during the trip you were able to COMPARE the ship against other cruise ships, it freakin dwarfed everyone that came across.
Cruises are badass, the girls are cool, the relaxation is awesome, but the liquor is INSANELY priced. We bought a lot of liquor and beer at port, sometimes they let us bring it in and sometimes they didn't. Speaking of liquor, I picked up some Absinthe in Barcelona!
Spain was amazing; we stayed two nights and were able to really check out the town a bit. Well, I love cars so the first thing I was doing was browsing all the different cars. There are few cars in Europe that have similar manufactures in the States. I found only Opels, Alfa Romero’s, Skoda's, Citroen's and other tiny compact crap like Smart cars and funky looking ****. The price of petrol is extremely expensive, close to 5 dollars a gallon. I think it was like 1.60 (Euro) a liter, so many cars were small 1.8 liter 4 cylinder cars.
I found a few Porsche's, few Aston Martin's and a couple of Bentley’s wandering around. I was in Athens, Greece when they won the Euro 2004 and it was the 4th of July and fitting to, because the entire city lit off hundreds of flairs, fireworks and a lot of noise. It was a really incredible sight as in the States we rarely have such patriotic pride. The football in Europe seems to really unite the people, something I think we lack.
I was in Italy for a while, got to see the Pope in Rome! That was one of the major highlights of the trip. Couldn't really understand him as I do not speak hardly any Italian, but it was a very cool experience nonetheless! The cathedrals in Europe are insane, and I HIGHLY recommend spending a lot of time in Rome and reading "Angels and Demons" right before or during your stay. St. Peter's Basilica was insane and the Vatican City was really fascinating.
After the cruise, which we visited Italy, France, Croatia, Greece and the Greek islands I stayed in Bologna, Italy for a week. They say Bologna has the best food in all of Italy, and I bet you could imagine what that means. The pizza (which was the only food I ate) was insane. Fresh mozzarella, incredible ingredients and killer sausages and prochuito made for the best pizza I have ever had in my life. The pizza was a really thin crust, so it was more flavor than food, but at 4 Euro a pizza I was always ordering two.
Well Bologna is about 30 minutes away from Modena and Marenello so we decided what the hell, let’s check out the Ferrari museum. Wow, there in the main display was yep, you guessed it a brand new Enzo. Along with the freakin car the had another engine right OUTSIDE of the car so you could see both. And this was not the engine removed from the car; it was a completely separate engine just for viewing. Being able to see that engine outside of the car was truly a treat and not something most people will ever be able to see. The exhaust manifolds were absolutely gorgeous with welds that if ever seen on a Honda would make you cry. The intake manifold was carbon fiber, yata yata. I have pictures that I will try and upload soon than later! F50's, F40's, 355's, the Enzo and my favorite, all of their F1 cars. We were in the museum while the F1 race was going on and they had projectors and cool stations where you could go and watch.
Sorry about the botching information, I am tired and wanted to put some stuff down to see if anyone was interested in hearing more. Anyway, I highly suggest cruising!

Did you drive over to the Ferrari Headquarters? They won't let you in (Or even on the premises) but the Ferrari store (The one owned by them) is accross the street and maybe a 1/4 mile down the road is the Ferrari Test track. If you pull over and get out you can usually see some really cool stuff going on over there
Mike - Who wishes he still had the time to go to Italy for 3-4 months a year like I did when I was a kid

Speakin of supercars.....I was ticked today when I didnt bring my digi cam to work...we have two Carrera GTs, and one Murcielago there right now.....
and an Enzo was there last week. One of the Carreras, and the Enzo were driven in haha, freakin ballers
Lets see some pics
Ferrari Museum is so impressive. I thought MS's F2002 (yes the actual one he drove in, the way it was on the track) was pretty impressive. The prototype engine/heads/exhaust headers was really cool. Those F1headers are pieces of art. They just happened to be testing a 360 Modena on the test track while we were there. Was kinda hoping they would be testing the F1 car but it was unfortunatly a race weekend.
Modena was my favorite city in Italy. Cool people, not crowded, awsome food and clean. St.Peters is unreal. The most impressive sight in the world. Man I want to go back. Better post some pics before I do and majorly thread jack this bitch.

Well, it was a recommendation as the book is all about Rome...and the Vatican City and all the history of the Vatican and the Basilica and the churches and the history of the Illuminati, oh as well as a real good depiction of the way things were created in Rome and the significance of statues and certain artworks...as most of Rome and its churches have strong bonding to the ehh...whats that thing again? Oh yea the Catholic church.
Bascially I was really enjoying the book while touring Europe is all and I thought I'd pass my opinion along.
In terms of pictures, I am trying to load them off my girlfriend's father's camera and I thought I would have had that opportunity but something came up. Sorry about that!
About the test track, holy **** it was awesome! Didnt see any action but I wouldnt have minded to be part of that action! Cool little town. There were a bunch of Ferrari's being driven fast around town, when you heard coming it you knew exactly what it was
