Default HID kit worth it? YES, Mathmatically proven!

Ok I was sitting here at my MONITOR KEYBOARD AND COMPUTER, wondering if I should invest money in a HID kit? well I think I have solved my problem by my self.
OK phillips HID Kit = 500 dollars. It is much brighter and last like 7 times longer than filiment bulbs
So knowing this and the closest filiment bulb would be PIAA bulbs that are not as bright so even with a 9005 conversion they would not be as bright thus not letting you see as much. OK I will quit rambling, now to the math part.

HID ~500
PIAA ~60
and if the HID last 7 times longer then 7X60 = 420 and youve got to change the bulbs that many times and go through the hassle. And the HID's will allow you to see more of the road. So in my mind I would rather pay the extra 80 and have the extra brightness.

So to sum it all up IMHO, I think you should either stick with the ugly stock amberish bulbs and if you are gonna even change them go ahead and go all out and buy the phillips kit.

HID HERE I COME!

sorry, but that was a bit stupid.

i'm sure there are many ricers out there that will buy piaa's at $60 a pair but why do that when you could buy the sylvania cool blue for $30 a pair and do the 9005 conversion? another thing, putting down $60 (or $30) once every few years is sure a hell of a lot easier to do than $500 cold.

No sir.... ur comment was a bit stupid. Ur "cool blues" look like ****.... and even then the piaas don't begin to compare to REAL HIDs. So spend the extra amount and get the HIDs... no regrets...

Sure $500 "cold" is tougher to pay that $60 every so often... but... that's life, if you can't afford the best. Don't bitch at the people that can.

Default Your CPU

I have an idea, dont ever write "I was sitting here at my CPU" again. Do people say, "I was driving my engine to school" A CPU is a chip inside your computer, makes it run, the brain of it....a computer is a computer, you were sitting here at your computer, you were sitting at your desktop, you were sitting at your laptop.

i paid 35 bucks for a set of Vision Lazer white 75watt bulbs almost 3 years ago and they still work. deffinate improvment over the regular bulbs......i think i'll stick to those compared to a $700+ HID kit.....

whatever......cool blue, xenon, hyper, they're all the same thing. you want the piaa look? you can pay half that and get imitations, they all do the same thing (reduce light output).

for those of you that can afford to dump $500+ into HID's, go ahead. saying it's worth it is a relative comment, if you really want that 'look' no one's stopping you. as for me, my halogens put out enough light and i can't justify putting down $500 to see more light.

'i'm gonna kick your ***' i love it when you **** act 'big' on the internet. ohh, if i were in your area i'd drive over and give it to you. whatever, go crawl back under your fuking rock.

Some of the "retrofits" get kind of close with regard to cutoff gradient and relative light levels within the beam, but most all of them have beam problems...improperly placed hot spot, dark spots in the center of the beam, excessive foreground illumination, excessive stray (glare) light, improper cutoff placement, etc.

that usually means that you can't see worth a **** and will end up crashing..

Sometimes halogen can actually be better than HID. My mom's W140 S500 has halogen H7's. But still lights up the road better than my friend's IS300 w/HID's. I don't have HID in the Teg, yet but will get them soon. Right now the Philips vision plus bulbs I'm using are good enough. They are clear however, not tinted.

the hid lights are worth the price. I have been through many pairs of pos white bulbs, all they do is burn out my harnes. Once you hid it is hard to go back...

You guys are hilarious. My stock bulbs havne't burned out in 7 years. But watch them go out tomorrow since I just said that...

Stocks or real HID. Don't half *** it and reduce your lighting performance for looks. It can't get any ricer.
