who's removed there charcoal canister?
Ive been searching around and i havent quite found out what negatives come with removing your charcoal canister. only experienced people reply. also the lines that go into the canister did u just plug them or did you leave them the way they were
I was wondering the same thing. I only have one line going to my can and it is the line from the fuel system back up. I believe it is a breather. Not sure if I should cap that off or leave it vent into the air. I am not sure if it needs to create a vaccume or build pressure.

I want to remove mine b/c all the other lines on it are blocked off. There is really no use for it in my car. Plus if I remove it I can then mount my catch can over in that area.

I dont have a very good one, but meh....too bad.
So I took mine out when I was spiffing up the engine bay,
but I was just flying through everything tyring to get the thing
running again, then I crashed it the next day, so its all a bit of a blur.
I took it out and looped the line to the intake manifold. It was on my
92cx, so no plugs or anything like on the 6th gens. It was very easy,
I cant belive I dont remember what exactly I did.
I didnt drive around long enough to decide if it made a difference,
but a lot of people say that they smell the gas fumes with out it.

i remember reading threads on h-t about removing it without any ill affects. keep in mind that most obd0-1 jdm cars dont have them. i would assume that if the nipples on the TB and i/m were capped off and the evap purge solenoid was left plugged in, you wont have any problems ditching the can. just keep it for smog
