Waste of time, and money and will probably be more of a headache than a turbo set up with less power. I would go turbo if i had an LS. Good luck with your set up.

Ls/vtec there is a guy around here who have it. It does not pull as hard as it suppose to. It feels like a ls with just vtec sound. Something is wrong. I would just save up and slap a turbo on it.

I would also like to know why you think ls/vtec is a waste of money and will produce less power??????

Well, IMO, the LS bottom end is NOT MADE to rev to 8k-9k rpm's so you are going to brake ****. Its praticly inevitable. Also its LOW COMPRESSION, that will need to be changed in an all motor setup. On top of that the oil sqirters are not up to task and wait, neither are the rods or pistons or oil pump or bla...bla...bla........
Get my drift.

I would say build up any 1.8 bottom end (sleves, pistons, rods) and through a vtec head on there and boost boost boost!

If you dont have the flow, just get a smaller fast spoolin turbo (t3/t4 or smaller) and a good EMS like aem or hondata and boost like 6psi on the street and 10 or 11psi at the track wit some race gas. That 10 psi will proly get you 250hp or so.
Just my .02$

I may have read his post wrong. I thought I read it as an Ls/vtec turbo will be more of a headache and produce less power then a ls turbo. I was going to say I put out a lot more power on my ls/vtec turbo then I did when I was straight LS.

I put down 302 @14 psi on my ls with pistons and rods
I put down 306@ 10 psi on my ls/vtec with pistons and rods.
Same turbo setup same EMS and so on.

LS all motor
LS/VTEC all motor
LS turbo
LS/VTEC turbo

pecking order. you figure out which one you want. the easiest would be to just boost the ls. but if you have cash and know how to do the labor then an ls/vtec turbo would make more power, but how reliable it will be is up to your build and tune.
