Default Alpine or Rockford

I'm selling all my Xplod Audio stuff except for the headunit because I want higher quality sound with brain rattling bass. I have seen the new Rockford Power Stg1 and 2 subs and have been leaning toward that but I've also heard Alpine is awesome. Which should I go with?

Alpines are only good for speakers, HU, and speaker amps but Rockford is the only way to go when it comes to sub amps.

Have a listen and see what you like, I would definately recommend Alpine for amps but subs are just personal preferance.

I would do nothing but Rockford subs and amps. I just put in a stg2 15 and a 20001bd amp in my civic and it rumbles hard.

Agree completely.

I would go for something else honestly, HU I would only buy alpine or eclipse, amp i'd say memphis if you want lots of power for your $ or orion/eclipse/JL/tons of others if you wanna spend the $, sub(s) OZ or Image Dynamics if you want tons of bass off little power, JL or Orion or the like if you want it to sound nice, and speakers go listen and hear what you like, its all preference there IMO- I like MB Quarts best.

Yes change the HU Alpine the best, amps, for highpass Alpine very clean for lowpass , get as many watts as you can for the $, the new Alpine amps are a little weak for pounding bass. 94

i used an alpine v12 mrv 1005 bridged on 2 comp vrs and it was great

alpine amps have a reputation of being a bit weak, and rf amps are better, some of them, some rf amps stink

my next amp setup will consist of 2 rockford 1500 bd's

1500 watts at 2 ohms is bootiful....

plus you cant beat the price im getting it at, and DIRECT customer service from the rockford team

i'll see one compares to my kicker sx1250.1

FS sx1250.1

Its all up to preference and how much you wanna spend. Im fine with my MRD-300 v12 alipine MONO amp with my elemental design 12 K series sub.

IMO the best subs out there are JL Audio, from the W0 to the W7. The JL slash series amps rock too. Most bang for the buck is Memphis amps.

i have used a 10 w6 and now a 12 w3 and i don't think they are all that, havent heard the w6v2 or the w7 im sure those are different

i prefer kicker to the regular jls

and i also think this:

a full alpine set up for BASS will be more sound quality geared the mids are loud as **** though

a full rf set up for bass will be spl heaven, especially if you buy the top end stuff

I also vote that you get rid of the X Plod head unit. Buy an Alpine, by far the best head unit I have ever had.
