in regards of weight reduction is removing the tar under the carpet a good thing? I am estimating a reduction of 30 lbs total.

 

someone took the tar, AKA sound deadening material and it free'd up some weight but car was louder then be4, and mostly because of exhaust, then road/tire noise was commin in. so its up to you, if noise isnt a problem, go ahead and do it.

someone did a little write up on it too, and what they used to take it out, and did a scale weight on it too..
