Default suspension problem

hi guys, sorry to ask this since it isnt a eclipse forum, but my girlfriend eclipse has me stumped. ever since we put on new sumitomo tires her car shakes when we drive on the freeway. it feels like shes moving the steering wheel back and forth but she isnt and its scary. i'm not sure what the problem is. my roommate said he thought it was the balancing but im not sure that the problem. anyone heard of this? any help would be much appreciated.
thanks again
Brian

we got them balanced at discout tire and we went back to see if they would rebalance them, so they said they would, but i didnt see them balance them. i just saw them rotate them. you think we should have them rebalanced by them?

I hate to sound like a broken record, but if the problem happned immediately after installing new tires..... they were not balanced properly, if at all.

Also see if there is ANY warping on one or more of the tires. I've had that happen to a tire once!

Do you see weights on the rim?
Did you check tire rotation? (arrow on sidewall)

the tires are bi directional, but i dont remember seeing any weights on the wheels. i was wondering about that. i know on crappy wheels they just put the weights on the outside of the wheel in between the tire, but when you have good rims, where do they put them? they cant put them on the outside right because that would look like crap. hmmm. ill check to see if i even see any weights on her tires. is there any other suspension problem that this could be like a blown shock. We did install new tein springs over old illumina shocks but it appeared that all of those parts were in good condition.
