how can you make your car ALMOST un-jackable?
ALOT of people now-a-days are getting their integras stolen/jacked and i don't want that to happen to the integra im going to get. so what options are there, to make my car VERY hard to steal, like if it was almost UN-STEALable. I thought of like hood-pins, the clutch and steering wheel club, but lastly i was thinking of a VERY expensive alarm. Have anybody heard of the alarm that goes off when you're close to it? And when you try to OPEN the car it was SHOCK you, basically like a TASAR shocking you. I want that alarm if anybody has heard of it and know where to get it online, but im just worried that it might cost be about $1300 or more for just the alarm. And i was also trying to make that rubber part on top of the window where theives stick flat-tops into to pull out the window to something harder, fiberglass or metal or whatever. And what if you had shaved door handles and need a remote to open your car, what if i had that so there was no key hole. AND what if i had vertical doors, would that make it super hard? PLEASE REPLY PEOPLE!!
A dead prostitute in the front seat will ward off most thieves.
Seriously, a Crime Guard 745i3 has the proximity sensor that you seek. Crutchfield sells these with wiring kits. No one will make a "taser" alarm due to liability; imagine a child touching your car an suffering cardiac arrest from the shock.
Do a search because this topic comes up often.

not a good idea to list all the things you want to do to your car to make it theft proof, and dont expect others to tell you exactly what they did to prevent theft. it only helps the thieves out when you post it.

agreed with everyone else
Security basically comes in "layers" and the more "layers" you put on the better off your car is. It basically adds precious time for theives to break through all the "layers".

1. Have 2 or three kill switches.
2. Have an alarm with a remote that reports back to you with audible noise. (Shock sensors) A install a loud *** ******* car alarm horn (the ones where people want **** your car up just to turn it off)
3. Dont forget to put your handbrake up, and put your car in gear when you turn it off.
(Dont install one of those scrolling lights ethier)
Let your car alarm run of a different battery, I heard theives use a magnet on the battery to screw it up or something.

leaving it in gear is not safe for those with bad memory or those who removed their clutch safety switch, but some one can lift ur car with a floor jack and haul it away, unlikely to happen but you never know

dont matter they have the ones that craddle the wheel
lets say you put four of those and your car is mobile
it only takes about three pumps and your car is off the ground....
best bet kill switches
ignition
clutch safety
fuel pump
disable hood release cable
but hide them dont make it obvious that you have installed them..

kill switches (yes more than 1. starter, injectors, fuel pump)
take ecu with you
remove fuel injection relay
autolocks (clutch + brake)
steering wheel club
wheel boot\club
alarm
With those things the only way to take the car is by flatbedding. It would be a PITA to do those things each time but it'd work if you are paranoid.
I was thinking of maybe putting deadbolts into the doors to keep them shut with brute force. It shouldnt be that hard to put in and be pretty good. Make it so you can only retract the bolts with the alarm fob so if they break your window they cant unlock the door or anything. Yes they can still climb through the window but if the car is being stolen at a mall or something it'll look strange seeing some douchebag climbing through a window.

Like most people said above LAYERS and LAYERS of security will be your best bet.
Heres what I recommend:
For Visits to the Mall, theatre, school, grocery store, electronics store, parking in front of your house or in drive way, and etc..
1. Kill Switches 2-3 will definetly do. (recommend using relays unless you like replacing switches every 2 weeks.
2. Good Alarm I recommend the Compustar 2WSS-AS cost 250 shipped on ebay. Also purchase the backup battery and tilt sensor and get it installed professionally, or do it yourself. But an "alarm is only as good as the install".
3. Club, Autolock, and The Boot (which locks your wheels). You don't have to put ALL those on just to get to grocery store to get some soda. If your paranoid you can
4. Recloate your hood switch line and preferably lower your car enough so they can't pop your hood from under the car. And when they try to jack your car up your alarm will sound cause of the tilt sensor will be triggered. And you will get a page if your within 1.25 miles of your car.
******
Kill switches can be bypass by taking off your back seat and looking for the fuel pump power line and finding where your switches are located. This WILL take TIME. Cutting the Club and the Autolock will take time, bypassing the alarm will be VERY difficult. Poping the hood w/o setting off the alarm will be difficult to near impossible and very time consuming? Do you get my drift time is the thieves worst enemy.
For Weekend stays at grandmas to romantic getaways:
1. numbers 1-4 above
2. Take out your ECU, Take spark plug wires with you. Pull some fuses or put blown fuses to confuse theif.
3. Now if your really paranoid, you can drain drain your gas, take out your main relay. List goes on...if your REALLY REALLY paranoid you can take out your motor( LOL)
But....if a thief gots a helicopter your screwed, non of that will save you unless your house can fire Surface to Air missles then your car is gone...

OMFG...luckily this post came up...today my buddy was talking to me about my alarm system and kill switches...and how worthless they are!! i left my window open for his demonstration cause he didn't want to screw anything up. anyway, once he opened the door the alarm went off which enabled the alarm's ignition kill, he poped my hood, silenced my alarm, and started my car within 10 seconds!!! i was like WTF!!! he then told me the rest of the deal with the steering column lock. I'M NOT GOING TO EXPLAIN HOW HE STARTED MY CAR WITH MY ALARM KILL SWITCH ON AND MY MANUAL KILL SWITCH ON AS WELL, JUST IN CASE THERE ARE SHADY FOLKS UP IN HERE. i was amazed at how fast someone can take your car!! he said with no alarm, my car would be gone in less than 30 seconds once the thief got inside my car!
he recommended that i get the club for reassurance and install 2 horns instead of 1, or take the ecu out or rig up something that disables the ecu.

If nothing else, lo-jack is an insurance discount that more than pays for itself. So, at worst, you get cash savings, adn at best, you get your stolen car back. Sounds like a win-win situation.

Adding hood pins and verticle doors will make your car more likely to get stolen. Thieves love ricer type mods. Alarm, kill switches, autolock and they have a wheel boot like the ones they put on people who dont pay their parking tickets.

Well there are SOME devices out there that could FULLY stop a theif. I have heard that there are many cars in south africa fitted with eigther spring loaded serated blades or wooden bats that fly out from under the car impaling the theif's ligaments....
.....I dont think that would be legal here in the US, but the theif would get what he deserved.....
Isnt there a company that offers a product to make ur car "electrically" armed or something of that nature?
