Best race Header Jun, Smsp, Toda, An-R, Spoon. . . .
I have a b16a2 with intake , Aebs intake manifold , full exhaust, stock cat and a coffee can. My question is . . What race header should i buy since i do not want to do internals yet. I have about 1000$. What race header can i use with my A/C and power steering still give me a hell of a lot power?
id like to see dyno reports on the b16 also

completely off subject, but if you have a B16 with a few bolt on's, what's up with h23Turbo for your name?
I'd say toda tho

didnt someone on here did a dyno test on most of those headers.>??? i seen it last time.. which they were aiming for the jdm itr 4-1 header against the 1g header. i forgot the name..
i still want the link to that site...

I have seen a chart comparing the TODA header and the JDM DC sports header on a b16. The JDM DC header absolutely killed the toda header up till about 7000 where the toda just took over.

There, that's better. SMSP and Hytech raped Toda, but both are custom made. They are also both more expensive than Toda.

what are your power goals? if you are planning on getting internals later, what are they going to be? if you just buy a header now based on someone saying "toda" or "comptech" and then want to put internals in later, will it still make your car faster? No. this is called "lego" building your engine and the parts you bought earlier are now worthless
you need to think about your power goals. are you planning on racing this car, i.e. autocross, 1/4 a lot, or will this just be a daily driver that you want to drive fast occasionaly.
also when looking at a dyno, find out what else was on the engine when this dyno was performed. was it stock? cams? pistons? and the difference between the two.
if one graph shows the header with just im and the other with cams, im, pistons and whatnot then you should find that out. most people look at these graphs and say "wow look at that gain 45hp, that's the header for me" and don't tell you about all the internals(most good ones do though)
the exhaust "SYSTEM" should be looked at as a whole. not just header by itself or catback by itself. if you build it right then you can get so much more out of your engine. understanding flow velocity, capacity and all that good stuff helps too.
i'm sure you already know most of this but i am sure that there are some on here that don't. good luck

IMO, a used Toda header is the best deal/hp header on the market. they are hard to come by, and usually pull a premium price even for being used, but i found mine for 750ish and it looked brand new. old ones i have seen as low as 600.
used headers are the best way to go.
I love my Toda, but i can admit that SMSP and Hytech are better.
i have a Hytech exhaust even.
Probably wouldnt upgrade even if i found a deal. toda is just great.
