Your thoughts on a B20
What're your thoughts on a B20 motor. Are they reliable for daily driving? Are they reliable with forced induction at all? Just tell me what you think abou the motor. I'm interested in swapping one into my Del Sol.
I hear a lot of people say that they crack sleeves. The claim is that the siamesed sleeves aren't as strong as their 81mm bored counterparts. But then I'll ask them what they were using for fuel management and the answer is usually something like bigger injectors/FPR and occassionally a VAFC will pop in there.
If it were me, I'd use a good, tuned computer on it for forced induction.

not sure how easy the swap will. be .. i think if u can find the b20z it would be better more hp something like the ls motor but with more torque if u can find it the compression is low so it would be a great turbo car and it is cheap also.. good luck with that hope i was some help for u.
To install in your car you are not going to be able to smog (the downside), you would need to go from obd2 to obd1.
I would recommend a different tranny, intake manifold (a must for some of the b20s since the will not fit), and your usual I/H/E.
Overall a nice engine to have, nice tourqe and even in non vtec form they put down some decent numbers.
