like toipic says what would make more hp for my engine? going with 9:1 comp. or going with 11.5:1 thanks

 

for all motor? more compression is better, or makes more power at least.

 

can anyone tell me what kinda of pistons i should get? rite now im leaning toward JE piston/ IB spec. so im guess 11.5:1 comp. would be better? and if i replace the pistons can i pass smog?(just saying its a stock motor with a diff. piston comp.?)
