Default D15B1 power??

I know i know..kind of a dumb question..But my stock motor is all i can work with right now, plus i'm a newbie to the whole tuning thing. But how much power can a d15 make? i'm looking to make the car mostly a daily driver, and somewhat fast when i mess around with my friends.
also would i be able to beat a 2001 Lancer oz or a 2001 celica GT?

hahah, really tho if i could beef up that motor to even keep up with cars that only have like 150 horses i'd probably have more fun than i do now. ive considered swaps and what not, but i know it'll be a issue every 2 years, unless theres legal swaps. my plans really simple, nice clean look, and kinda quick.

there are legal engine swaps....
not sure if the mpfi swap is legit in ca though...too many rules!

si tranny and the aforementioned mpfi swap. after that i'd start looking into a motor swap. the mpfi swap will make worlds of difference.

the mpfi swap is multipoint or port fuel injection which gives you four injectors instead of two. search mpfi swap and you'll find tons of write ups on it. i think there is also a good one in the FAQ thread at the top of this forum. i'll find the one i used and im it to you.

whats up,

i feel you. keep all the original parts and do the flip every two years. if the engine don't put out more than the stock your good to go. i kinda squeaked by on a couple of cars, it was all good. all the motor and configurations got me going crazy. did you find out anything interesting??

2.2 that is the best diagram ive ever seen for the mpfi swap, so simple and clean. I know about 2 years ago when I did mine it was like trying to find a needle in a haystack to find a good wiring diagram.......its really easy to do though I did it without a diagram and just checking out sites around the net.

I put a a6 head on my d15b2 block switched to mpfi, gutted the car and had all your basic bolt-ons and I could easily take civic ex's and hang with 3rd gen integra's(non vtec and mostly stock) on a good night.

wow..that's exactly what i'm thinking about doing until H22 swap becomes a lil more simple.

it was a nice setup, I did a mild port and polish on the head and intake manifold mostly just gasket/port matching.

I liked it alot, I beat a swapped b16a ef hatch with a 50 shot and a mostly stock gsr with a 50 shot as well in the same night. (zex dry shot borrowed from dude with the b16 ef hatch...lol)

it pulled pretty good though but I dont think id do it again besides now I an SI so its all good.
