Sure you could. You could also supercharge or install a nitrous kit. It all depends on how much you want to spend on it.

You may not want to do the swap but, after you dump all of this money into an SOHC 1.5 (no offense bisi) and the car is not even close to a 11 sec pass you will wish you would have just did the swap. I messed around w/ mini me's and d16z6's and soon found out that the B and H series is the only way to go. You will learn............the hard way

What is your suspension set-up? What about lightening your car? Removing any excess weight.

No offense taken.

I only know that it would be offensive to people to know how much money I did not spend (and still do not, since I am very frugal) to coax power from my engines.

"Knowledge is power", in every sense of the phrase!

Bisi,

Lots of "knowledge" has been poured into your engines and you are one of the best in the industry but if you were to build him an engine (SOHC) wouldn't that "knowledge" be pretty expensive?

Yes but your not even going to come close to the power you would make with a small turbo setup.. Putting a d16 head on your block would be a mini-me swap and would net you more power..

Yup.. Just remember to remove the oil control jet on your block so the head will get oil for the vtec system..

I would remove anything you dont need if this is a track car.. Also you can cut down the bumper supports and remove the sound deadning stuff from the floorpans..
