Default SC50 vs. SC61

hey all,
Im considering one of these 2 turbos for my LS project. The question is which is better? As far aswhat I am looking for is a turbo that will spool fast but wont start boosing until say 3500rpm with a hard pulling topend. TIA

Well sc61 should spool around 4500-5000 on a stock ls. Thats kinda high considering you redline at 6900.

Don't under estimate the power of the 50 trim. Still a great efficient turbo, with excellent responce.

What do you think about the GT3251E for his application? Any anyone that's familiar with the GT3251E for that matter.

That'd be a good one too. Basically an SC50 but w/ a more efficient turbine.

Price difference? You mean listed price difference from Precision? I have seen the GT3261E go for as little as $650.00 shipped.

Talk to some of the HT sponsors that sell Precision products.

the reason is because I can get a kit from someone for 2 grand, used for 50 miles, with a SC50. or I can build my own kit and prolly spend about 2500-3500 so is the SC50 good enough that it would be worth taking the kit?

Also is there anything I can buy from precision such as a better turbine, bearings, ect. that I could add if I do a rebuild?

sc50 is a nice turbo, **** what people said that u wont spool it. i spool my sc61 just fine on my b20z . ur gonna get a more peak type HP though with that than u would with a t3t04b trim(what fmax comes wit for b18b's). if anything u want more than that a t3t04e trim turbo will give u nice spool up and good power. but i tend to like big turbos :-p
