Default usdm swaps

do you guys know any shops i can get a 2000 or 2001 integra type r motor from? i have been looking around but i can't find one. okay if you guys were me and had a 2000 civic si with 54xxx miles. would you guys get a greddy turbo kit or swap a 2000 type r motor? my goals are only daily driving power and with the greddy kit i was only looking to boost like 5-7 psi and make 200-220 whp. i don't need anything wild. i am just afraid of reliability sometimes with the greddy kit because i dont want my motor to blow at the worst time.

For a brand new or used B18C5, labor and parts will cost you more than 5k+ for only 10-17 tq and hp (est.) from your B16A2....you can gain alot more hp and tq on your B16A2 with 5k + if you do everything right....imo I would get a Jackson Racing supercharger which roughly cost 1-2.8 new/used which are reilable and cheaper then a engine/swap since your only gonna use ur car as a daily driven car.

hope this helps

i once contemplated the jackson but the reliability isn't all there. i have been reading up on honda-tech about it and it gets really hot and had a problem with detonation. i think that if i go forced induction that i am definitely going with a greddy kit.

i say get a drag turbo kit ($2750), or if youy can afford it get a Full-Race(Turbo Kit). which ever one you get, you shoulkd invest in engine management (hondata, aem ems, etc....) get it tuned coorectly from someone GOOD (FRANK RACETUNE.net ) and you would never have to worry about it getting blown.
PLUS you will get a lot more power than the ITR motor for the same price
