Vortech FMU w/ Walbro 255 High Pressure Fuel Pump question..
Ok I've got a Vortech 12:1 FMU and a Walbro 255 High Pressure intank fuel pump, question is, will the FMU be able to handle the pressure output from the fuel pump? Or will I have to get another FMU Disk?
i ran a holley 255 with a 12:1 for a couple months. it worked ok, a little rich but no real problems. you should be ok for a while.
A while as in.... 3 months... 6 months... 9 months.. 3 years!? I'd just assume sell it while its brand new and buy the one that will work fine.
Did you change it out b/c it was hampering your performance, or you heard that it was bad or... what made you swap them out?

Ahh, I gotcha, so on stock injectors it'll work, but if I threw on the 310's like I am planning to do, then I'll have to take it out, thanks.
310s probably 8:1.
WIth what you've got 12:1 will probably be too high. Also, the walbro will be maxing out, which isnt good for the pump...a 10:1 would work better. SHort of that you can put a bleeder valve on the vacuum line (top of FMU) and with vacuum bleed get it down to approx 10.5:1 with your 12:1 disk.
