Sorry but that is not drifting!!! That is GYMKANA, and you should see some of the Hondas that do it here. Awesome driving all around. Everytime I go watch these guys I am just so impressed. What is even more impressive, how they memorize the different track configurations. It isn't like the states with Autocross where you can see the track as you go between 2 cones on either side of you at pretty much all times from what I have seen. Gymkana is just cones sporadically placed with different track configurations, usually about 3-4 different configs that have to be memorized.

 

There is also a video out there floating around with a CRX on the same "track". E-brake slides everywhere.

While cool, I don't see how it would be nearly as fun as american autox. Too many low speed manuvers. I personally hate piviot cones in an autox layout. That place is nothing but pivot cones.

 

I saw the same thing in Fuji Speedway too few years back.
It just seem they do it for fun and not so much against the clock in
Honda Turbo City and make a CRX looks big.
I guess everytime I see these AE86, it reminds me all the junk one in the states
kids are trying to fix up because its trendy.

I have a friend who controls his BMW the same way with one hand and drinks a coke with the other.... Those guys are natural born drivers... You can`t learn it, you have to be born with it.
