i have a d16y8 sohc vtec, and for some reason the engine feels sluggish after 4k (despite the vtec) relative to my previous d16, and yes i didnt get a better engine cause im saving for a k and didnt want b , but ne who, yea like it jsut doesnt pull as hard as the other engine. The spark plugs have some oil on them (replacing them along with the o rings) i can only hope that is what is causing this pos to be even slower. no engine light or nething and nothing else has changed, ne ideas?

(also i dont hear a vtec till about 5500, but maybe its cause a shitty single stage vtec, and is drowned out by the intake/exhuast)

 

I just put a center force clutch in my d16z6 and before I could not feel the v-tec and it seemed kinda gutless now I feel the v-tec kick and it has lots more power plus try a tune up and make sure you get the fuel filter easy one to forget and the ngk iradium spark plugs made it idel alot smoother hope this helps ya
