when i take off in first gear my vtec will sputter and then kick in after i hammer down on the gas. why is it sputtering at all?

you might wanna check your plugs and timing. might be getting bad spark.
has nothing to do with vtec tho.

thanks yea its hot, well my vtec only will sputter when i go slowly through vtec if i hammer down it will kick on just fine. but why doese it sputter is there air in the vtec? my timming was just checked and my spark is good i checked the spark plugs they are good inything else.

Why would you want to slowly hit vtec?

then id be checking cap and rotor, its gotta be somthing with spark, has nothing to do with your vtec. check wirres also. my money says wires.
