Type S transmission - rough shift to 2nd?
Anybody else have problems occasionally with a "crunchy" shift to 2nd gear, especially when the car is cold?

Thx.

No - I've driven manuals for over 10 years. I see a lot of this around the forums with the Type S.
Recommendation seems to be pulling the shifter straight down. I'm wanting to run along the gate on the left side to make sure it's going to 2nd, not 4th.
With all the hype about mis-shifting and blowing the engine, I don't want to take chances. The 1-2 shift won't cause over-rev, but 5-4 shift and accidentally hitting 2 will cause major damage, so....

hmm, i think its mostly just on honda cars. My civic, and accord had the same problem, while i didn't notice it on GT-S. It mostly happens when engine is cool, and your at high speed downshifting to 2nd
