Whats wrong with my car?
i have a B16 swapped into my 90 Civic DX. everything worked fine. it started right up 3 straight times. but on the 3rd time it just shut off after about 2 minutes. (i let it run for about 15 minutes the first 2 times) now i cant get the car to start again. the fuel pump doesnt turn on and it doesnt spark at all. but the starter does turn on. the fuel pump will turn on when just running a wire from the battery to the pump so i dont think its the ground. i turned the key to acc. and jiggled almost all the wires around and the pump didnt turn on at all. so i dont think anything it loose. does anyone have any ideas? ignition switch? main relay? something else?
something is draining the battery now also. i checked it before and it read 12.08. now 10 minutes later it is reading 8.86. does that mean something is shorted?

the ECU doesnt flash and the CEL doesnt come on either. at first i thought maybe it was a miswiring, but then why would it start and run fine and first 2 times?

check your fuses. you could have a short to ground. check the main fuse box then the dash. If your CEL dosent come on could be a bad ground.
i checked all my fuses. i'll just have to go through all my grounds and make sure theyre good. let me make sure i have them all.

yeah it could be the main relay. might want to resolder the pcboard. the solder tends to crack over time. if that doesnt fix it you should follow the instuctions in the helms manual - all you need is a multimeter to test the main relay and harness out. there is an online helms for the crx but i dont have the link... maybe someone here can link you to it.

If I am understanding this right, you are saying the fuel pump is not priming when you turn to acc. on the ignition right??? if so then its your ignition switch. We just had this issue in my homies hatch...it would try and crank but the ignition switch was failing so it wasnt sending the signal to the pump to prime...we switched it out the next day and she started right up with no probs since...but check you main relay and everything else suggested before you buy something you may not need...hth
I thought the issue was no fuel??? maybe I read it wrong, but if you not gettin fuel, it doesnt matter whether your gettin spark or not...cant ignite what isnt there right? but the ignition switch from my knowledge...please correct me if im wrong, activates the necessary electricals to start the car...i.e starter, dist, fuel pump....anyone else???
thats what i thought also. thats why i didnt think it was the ignition switch because my starter works fine. i just went out to play with some stuff and realized that my CEL comes on whenever i connect the battery. the key isnt even in the ignition or anything. just when theres power in the car the CEL comes on
and yes the problem is no fuel. although i can solve that by just running a wire from the battery to the pump. but not getting spark shows me that its not just the fuel pump that isnt turning on
