Default Need Help! 00 civic Fog Lights problem

Hey Guys, I have a 00 Civic Si. And i have the factory foglights. I was installing Piaa bulbs into them this afternoon and after i installed them i went to test them and i heared a pop and i lost power to the unit. I think it is a fuse but does anyone know which one it is and if there is an inline fuse on the wiring harness?? Thanx

The fuse is inline with the wiring, located near the fuse box. I'm wondering why the fuse would blow after a light install though?

if I can remember correct I think to calculate wattage .... it would be VOLTS X AMPS = Wattage

So if you had a 10 amp fuse in it, it would be safe to 120 watts which I think the stock ones are 35-40 watts each

I think the new bulbs are at least 60 if not more

try a 15 amp fuse

Yes, it's near the fusebox. You may have to look behind the kneeguards to find it. It'll be in a little plastic fuse holder. Don't go putting in a larger fuse until you can figure out what made the thing blow in the first place, if it is blown.
