NEED HELP WITH OVERHEATING CIVIC
Hey people, I have a 1994 Honda Civic DR EX, I have this problem with it over heating, I replaced the thermostat, the lower radiator hose, the upper is still good, and the fluid level is still good, and the water mixture for the fluid is perfect. its all new fluid in there. I have a new fan clutch motor and it runs great, the fan kicks on and all that, its just my car keeps overheating. the only thing I havent done is flush it out, but does anyone know if it might be my radiator going bad or a blockage in the radiator? oh yeah I have a pretty new water pump also cause I had that replaced when I had my timing belt done so theres only about 20k miles on the new water pump now. please help me out on this. im open to any suggestions. thanx

Since you already replaced most of the things I was about to tell you, did you bleed all the air out of the cooling system? Do you have any leaks of coolant anywhere? Possibly headgasket?

Re: (Dimi)
I agree in that you need to make sure you bleed the air out of the system. just take the radiator cap off and let the engine idle for awhile. wait for all of the bubbles to clear and make sure to keep topping off the coolant.

If you beleive everything is fine. Probably headgasket. ESPECIALLY on d-series motors. At my honda dealer, we have a snap on tool that checks for CO in the coolant. But you could do an easier check with compression guage. Do you smoke white?

i had the same problem with my d15b7 and it was the head gasket. i had white smoke and the coolant was being pumped right out the tail pipe
