1. 17x8 Won't fit - 7.5" is pushing it. Seeing as how the stock rim is 15x6 - wtf are you thinking? If you want rims that big - get a Rustang.
2. see IPR or R&D

most wheels you will find for imports will be 17x7.5. Also, you may need a 40mm+ offset or they may stick out. I wouldn't worry about having anthing bigger than 7.5in wide, even if you could, the performance/cost difference would'nt justify it. I worked at a wheel shop in highschool, and have seen too many cars with wheels that don't fit right. Remember, just b/c they bolt on doesn't mean they fit the car. You'll be much happier if you reasearch the different wheels you are interested in and find out what offset you need to keep the R runnin the way it should.

ill just find some 17x7.5 then, no biggy
and this is my 4th integra, wont ever see me in a rustang
weird thing is...i had a 16x8 rim on my original integra, 87 RS, lol

A 8" rim *will* fit on an ITR. You just need to "massage" the fenders a bit, get some camber and don't go crazy with the tire size. +35 will be pushing it though.

The car will likely drive like **** though - scrub radius will be way off and torque steer will be worse.
I'm sure you could get a 9" wide rim on there - but why? why why why?
The lower control arm is your biggest foe here - with 7" rims it clears by mere millimeters.
Unless you are going to blister the front and rear fenders for a show car - I would stick with what FITS the car i.e. 16x7 17x7
