How does the K20A perform w/ mods
I was just wonder how the K20A performs w/ mods like reflash, cai, headers, exhaust. If you know of any sites that have the dyno posted, please let me know. I would mainly like to know the hp to the wheels or crank. No estimates but real facts.
do you really mean the K20A? or do you mean the K20A2
if you get the reflash, cai and exhaust, you'll be in the low to mid 190's. if you get a race header, you'll be in the 200's. one of my friends has cai, reflash,dc sport header (does almost nothing), hiflo cat, exhaust and he dynoed in at 198 or 199.

The k20a might have problems with boost due to its 11.5:1 compression ratio. If you want turbo I suggest one from Cybernation motorsports with their Guardian ecu to prevent detonation. As for the high compression ratio I suggest you throw in some forged pistons and more internal work.

I don't believe the K20A was implied with the boosting thing. Since there was no letter or number after the K20, therefore, it could be the A3 or A2, which do not need much lowering of their compression to boost.

here is my dyno chart showing before and after tuning with kpro
the mods are kpro spoon tbody and a homemade CAI air temp was avg.97 degrees.
this is a k20a
and to the guy with the rsx that said he did 209/163 i would like to see the graph if you have it because i find that hard to believe, espically on the tq numbers

here is a chart i found.. this one is not mine. but it is a k20a2 and a k20a with reflash intake and header.

im just not seeing that happening when a stock stype s does 160 whp. was this on a dynojet? i can see if the correction factor was changed or you did it on a dynapack or soemthing. but that just doesnt add up.

k24's do those tq #'s, not k20's at least with those mods.. ive seen dyno charts of both motors midly modded and ive looked at hondata's website.

Hey guys when i looked at the chart i didn't believe it either. So unless something was wrong with the dyno that was used, the dyno sheet i have should be right.
The dyno that was used was a Mustang Dynometer. When i dynoed my car stock it came in at 171 WHp and 130 TQ. I have other things on my car thats not in my sig. Ok but i will come clean i did cheat a little on the tq my graph actually says 158.7 tq. I don't think 1.3 lbs of tq will make that big of a difference.

ok so you admitting to lying.. and i would imagine that on a dynojet you would be much lower.. which is what the other charts were measured on..

Well the 11.5:1 compression ratio as previously mentioned is from an A2... the A3 probably doesn't need to be lowered though.
What is the compression ratio of the K20A?
