Default B16a2 from Crx into a Ek9??? Please Help

My friend has a b16a2 in his crx, It has Type R cams. He told me he would sell me this motor for 1500 bucks, he was goign to sell it to a shop that is going to do his h22 swap, but they were only going to give him 1300 bucks. He said I could take anything out of the car that I want (engine-wise, ecu, wiring harness and all that stuff). Anyways my question is, what all can I take out that will fit in my ek9, and what other parts will I have to buy, my ek9 is completely stock, I just bought it from an old lady. Would the wiring harness work or would I have to get a new one. Would I have to get new motor mounts? And about how much extra would it cost for the total swap, because I am tryin to decide whether or not I should get the complete motor swap from hmotorsonline.com or buy it from him. And I know hmotorsonline has the complete kit for only 2250 plus s/h. Please reply and tell me what you think I should do.

no the harness will not work.
you will need....
hydro tranny used 300-1200
ecu 96 or newer or get a ecu jumper150-400
99 civic si mounts from honda dealership 250 400
shift linkage 200
you will have to modify your stock single cam
harness

So you have an EJ6.

It wont be smog legal.

so what I should do is just buy the complete swap from hmotorsonline.com? Also I was wondering if there is a dvd that I can buy that shows you how to do the swap yourself, because my friend bought a video that shows you how to drop a sr20det into a 180sx/240 and I was wondering if anyone has made a video showing you how to do a b16 swap.

EK9? don't think so. EK hatch perhaps. you'd be having problems with being smog legal.

so you are saying that if I get the motor from hmotorsonline.com then the only thing i will have to buy is the harness? how much will that cost? I am just tryin to find out how much it will cost, I am not worried about smog or anything like that, the car is already inspected and I live in MD so that is the only inspection I have to get. So I am just tryin to see how much it would cost if I got the motor from my friend, or if it would be better just to buy the complete swap

If you want it to be OBD2 then you'll also have to add a B16A2 99-00 Civic Si oil pump housing with it's crank flux sensor and wire it up too.

he should be able to pass smog. if he has a B16a2 which came in the 99-00 Si's that is a new motor than his car so he should be ok. just go find a Si wiring harness or GSR harness for OBDII cars. now ur ecu of choice u could use the Si ECU or u could get a OBDII to OBD I adapter and run a Chipped P28
