Default help.. clutch problems weird noise help

recently i have been having a few issues w/ my clutch.. first i noticed the slave cynlinder resiover was a little low when the peddle was staying down and not returning all the way, so i filled it up and everything was ok

then i noticed that as i start to drive specially in the morning i will hear a "shreak" not a scratch just an odd noise coming from the car when i start to driver forward and the clutch does not seem to grab as much as it use to..

i have an act stage 4 clutch and presure plate w/ stock gsr flywheel.. the clutch i would say has about 20k miles on it 10k on a turbo setup i bought it used from a friend of mine for 100 bux when he blew his motor..

what can be my problem? someone said i might have hot spots on my flywheel? getting it resurfaced would fix this correct? or would i need to replace the clutch now also because it doesnt grab as hard as it used to. should i check into air in the sytem and bleed the clutch resivor?

any ideas that would help me would be great.. im hoping i don thave to pull the tranny now cause im in the middle of moving and dont have a place or time to do it..

i was thinking that also.. i pulled the tranny about 3 months ago to change the rear main seal and it looked as if the disc was wearing down a little bit but it was pretty new
still..

it does sound like your clutch plate is going. it probably doesnt have anything to do with the morning, it's when you first start your car... when the metal is cold, it will give a shreak, when the metal heats up, it wont make a noise, but dont be fooled, its still fu!@'n up your flywheel/pressure plate. take off your tranny and look at the clutch plate, you can tell real quick if its the plate or not. good luck...

iight i thought it might be the actual plate or the flywheel.. i was planning on buying a new anyways very soon just cause i saw the condition it was in.. i have another flywheel i can use if it does **** it up.. i wish i had a lift and garage space to do it real quick, i know its not hard to take the tranny off but with moving and everything i dont have a place to do it quickly and outside isnt an option (HOA would get pissed)

anyway of telling how much longer it can go like this?? if it can slide for about a month or so ill be straight to have the money and get a whole new clutch.. and as soon as i get my beater on the road agian ill be putting miles on that..

when you let out the cluch completely and give it gas, how much it slips will tell you how much time you have left. when it starts to slip, you can smell the clutch plate burning(very distinct smell). just tighten your clutch cable so that it doesnt slip as much, and TAKE IT EASY!! when my clutch plate went out and somone pulled up next to me at a red light, i still stomped the gas....very dumb. just let your clutch out and accelerate REAL slow to make it last as long as you can.

thing is i have not noticed the clutch slipping very much.. i know you can test it by putting it in a high gear going slow and seeing how much the rpms go up and the car doesnt move.. maybe there is another way cause the turbo seems to still make the car move...
