Hey i think i need a new clutch, or clutch bell or flywheel? I do know that something is wrong with my tansmison or a part of it. When i start my car, if i am in nutral and idiling" so im in nutral and no feet are on the petals" their is a clicking sound from the tranny. This is only if the clutch is not pushed in. The sound goes away when the clutch is pushed in.
"I know its the tranny for sure" but if i depress the clutch it makes a differnnt click for 2 or 5 seconds then their is just the sound of the motor. Sounds like the clutch or something in that area is rubbing and then it stops when the clutch is depressed. This is the same if the clutch is depressed and i press the gass i hear all motor and no abnormal sounds. If the clutch is not pressed in , "like not depressed " but im in nutral then i press the gass petal the clicking noise is still there and gets" faster / louder" with increase of rpms. the sound is not horable but noticable from inside and outside the car. Im sure its not an axle problem. I think the problem is between the tranny and motor " which houses the clutch and flywheel and anything elts in their". I think this is the location i just dont know what the problem is?
I do lanch the car i wouldent say a lot, i do dog the car also not terrobly much. The clutch is the original that came with the car. I bought the car used and it had never been driven hard or raced. The car had 76000 mi when i bought it, and now im at 80345. So my question is, what do you think i need? A new tranny, clutch, flywheel, berrings, clutch bell, or what? Im stumped and any help would be great.
