Funny noise when braking.
Lately, my 97' makes a very interesting noise when the front end is under load during braking. As I slow down, the brakes sound fine, but during about the last 2 seconds or so of braking, when the car is about to come to a stop, it doesn't exactly sound right. The car kind of sounds like something is rubbing against metal in the front end
. Sounds like a huge rotating disk is being slowed down or something. I am running GT-Sports in the front and I don't recall them sounding like this when I first had them. They have plenty of meat on them, so I am pretty sure that they are not the problem.
Anyway, does anyone have any ideas of what would make this noise??
-Larkin who is not too worried, but doesn't want his 97' going to Chit

take the wheel off and inspect....make sure your backing plate is not rubbing with your rotor. Check to see if pad is worn on the inside.....if so, caliper is stuck......but just take the wheel off first
