Default Anyone running Mobil 1 15W50?

I went to purchase oil today for an oil change, and saw the stuff on the shelf, with "Performance driving" on the bottle. I normally run 10W30, but I decided to try this stuff out.

If any one is running it, let me know your impressions relating to oil consumption, and cold starts

I've been running it for most of the summer - ran it last year too. I have an oil pressure gauge, and immediately noticed the increase in pressure, both when cold, and warmed up - it is definately higher than 10w30. The car seems to be burning less of the 15/50 - I think it uses about 50% less with the thicker blend. Cold starts are not a problem.

The motor overall is a tiny bit more "sluggish" but I think it's a small price to pay for the increased protection that a heavier weight provides (especially in the summer).

I have not dyno'd the car with the 15/50, so I have no idea how much, if any, power loss is occurring with the heavier oil.

FYI: I run 10w/30 in the winter months, and 15w50 in the summer...

I used it for 3k miles and thought the caR felt slower and took longer to warm up. I went back to 10/30 and then noticed I had more power again.
