Ok so ya need the clips from the teggy.....then just wire the civic wires up the clips just like in that pic.....(its for a 90-91 civic)...so wire it up just like the pic...you will need to splice and add some wire to make a couple wire fit, but it works.....now for trimming you need to trim off the dash use a dremal and take you time, making sure you trim off just enough so the cluster is a snug fit between the dash.....this breif so if ya need anything more just email me or pm me...good luck!..tach's are fun!
thats mine, me and kyo babic both have done this swap so we can help. one thing is i needed to cut the bottom of the cluster to make clearance for the hazard/dimmer/defrost swith assemblies. the wiring diagram kyo babic didn't work all the way for me, this one is the wiring that worked exactly for me.
really? thats odd, im pretty sure thats the way i hooked mine up everything works fine, maye there is a difference between the Xsi and the cdn LS models or wiring or something, oh well they work well and serve there purposes. haha oh and yes i had to file away some of the bottom of the cluster to make room for the hazard switch etc, sorry forgot to mention that, i did the swap some time ago now so every lil thing a cant recall on, hehe
yeah kyo, do you have a canadian model, cause most of your diagram was right but there were a few that were different for me, i had to test with a voltage tester to find out some of them. wow you only had to file the cluster, i had to hacksaw that MF.
you need to test fit the cluster into the hood, then make a rough estimate mark with a marker on the cluster, then cut it out, it'll be on the bottom, about one inch from the end of the cluster on both sides.
do i sand the bracket holes at the bottom of the cluster?? sorry i cant do a test fit yet my car is in the paint shop, but im tryin to have this ready for when i get it out
you're gonna need to cut or grind the cluster, you really need to wait to get the car back, the car will drive fine even without any cluster if you're worried about that.
