if you can find a knock board out of a ecu you can install it in yours but its eisier to get a p72 or p61,pr3 and add the iab if you are using them.

When i ordered my s200b from wirespeed lab (about 2 weeks ago), they told me that you can wire the knock sensor into the hondata or something of the sort. I was going to sell my p28 and buy a p72, but they told me i would still be able to wire the knock sensor to the hondata using a p28. I just havent looked very far into it. Hope this helps some. josh

Honda ECU ignores KS at WOT, and above 5000 rpms. Don't take my word for it, read your Helms. Thusly, factory Honda KS does nothing to safeguard your engine; it trims ignition timing at part throttle cruise to keep combustion temps cool and lower NOx gas emissions. This is especially important on the higher CR VTEC engines; the only engines that got KS until OBD2.
Honda is going after LEV and ULEV spec here, guys... KS is $ to buy, KS ECU is more $ to buy, KS is hassle to wire, and KS is a reoccuring driveability problem when you get a few miles on the system. Look at the phantom knock the DSM guys get.

What is the difference between how a J&S Safeguard and how the Honda ECU reacts to KS input? OIC, fascinating!
