Getting ITR back from body shop -- what to look for?
Got clipped by car going 50mph into my right front wheel. Lots of body shop work -- panels, suspension, radiator, a/c unit etc.
Going to pick it up and worried that I do not know what to look for to make sure that they did a good job -- particularly suspension.
I'm concerned that car will never be the same and that there will be problems either straight out of the garage or a couple of thousand miles down the road -- either street driving, autox or road racing.
Really need some good advice here.
Thanks!

Man, i just got my car back from the body shop and it isn't right. i am so pissed and am taking it back tomorrow. I hit a dirt embankment on the side of the road and bent my frame slightly to the drivers side. the front end still seems swayed over to the left. I can tell because the fender over hangs the left wheel more than the right. i measured with a level and a ruler from the fender to the center of the wheel and it is about 1/2-3/8" off. this sucks.
That is exactly what I am worried about. I will definitely measure wheel to fender from a number of different directions -- vertically and laterally.
I am totally paranoid about getting into the situation you are dealing with. Sucks -- hope it works out.
What else did you look for?

just do a really good inspection, and make one of the guy's sit there and wait will you look at every possible detail....there is so much that can not be right, not saying that they didnt do a good job..it's just alot of possibilities, hopefully im making sense...good luck with your car
My buddy just got his ITR back from the body shop last week and he said it was one of the best jobs he has seen. Then four days later, he went to the movie theater and came out to see that some ******* kicked the whole side of his car in that was just repaired!
Damn! I hate faceless pussies!

On my opinion: 1st is to make an appointment to your dealer so they can put your ITR on their alignment machine inorder for sure is at ITR spec. Some bodyshop send their cars to any alignment shop and they just punched in Integra specs like GSR and its not same.
For the body, make sure no overspray. On my experience , i never ever found yet a body shop that doesn't leave some trace of overspray on the other surface near the damaged area after painting. I am very picky and i do find it as days goes by. keep a good rubbing compound around to remove overspray. Remember, they don't care as much as u do because its not their car, just a job.
Good luck,

I asked the body shop to print out the alignmnet results from the computer. They said they forgot. Pisses me off. Now I have to have someone else look at it to confirm it was done right. All hell will break loose if not.
Aside from doing that, driving it and measuring each side from various points along the suspension, I do not know what else I could do.
