Default Ball joint help!!

Is it necessary to remove the wheel bearing, to remove the axle cup thingy, to then have room to press the lower ball joint out?

Im trying to get this damned lower ball joint pressed out, and no one here seems to want, or know how to do it. THe axle shield/cup sort of covers the back side of the lower ball joint, and it looks as if you have to remove it, or cut/bend it to get the ball joint out. I dont want to replace the perfectly fine wheel bearing just to get the ball joint out.

Anyone have any idea wtf to do... Im pissed, i cant speak French and these damn Belgians are no help on Japanese cars

Part #2 in the diagram above...

when I had my **** re-done, they had to press everything out. And good to see somebody else overseas having problems too! Thought I was the only one.
