When My civic is cold the REV in neutral are higher?
I live in San Francisco here the temp during the summer is around 50F at night, well I just bought My Honda so this might be a stupid question but I realized that when I start the car in the mourning the Revolution are about 1750 RPM in neutral after the engine warm the revolution in neutral are about 1200 RPM is this normal?. I have a 1998 HX civic (mechanic).
I'm going to check tomorrow if it less than 1k RPM but my worry is that RPM are higher when the car is cold, is that normal?

It's called a fast idle, and yes it is normal after a cold start. All cars do this.
California is just never "cold" enough for a "cold start."

I once had a 91 vw golf, that thing in the cold would idle at 2.5 some times 3k rpm's. Normal warm weather rpm's were around 1.5 or 2.5k RPM's I kinda ruined it takin it off road. lol!
