Default Installed my header/cat this weekend. Help I ran into a problem!

So, I'm taking a break from my 240 project and wanted to work on my teg for awhile. Since the teg runs. Anyways, I installed my comptech header and a high flow cat that I bought from IPS Racing.

After I had everything installed and I took it for a drive I noticed it had a horrible rattle. Bad enough where I can really feel it through the shifter. So I brang the car back and got under it and found out the heatshield was rubbing. No big deal, easy fix... but I noticed the O2 sensor is up against the shifter. See pic..

Any ideas? I could try to find a way to pull the exhaust/cat over to one side just a little and that could solve the problem but I figured I'd check on here to see what others have done. Thanks!

Here is another angle.. it's hard to get a descent pic at all being under the car.

Yeah it's lame.. I can't stand how horrible the shifter vibrates at lower rpm's and I'm sure it's not good for it. lol

I would call IPS and make sure they sent you the correct cat for your car. I would also ask them if they have had this problem reported before because it looks like a placement flaw by the welders or the manufactures. By the look of the pic's it doesn't seem to be away around it. Look at your stock cat and the position of the o2 hole on it and see if they match up in anyway. Goodluck!

Yeah, I was getting around to calling but was hoping to find a quick fix. That's what I was originally thinking is it was welded a little off. Hmmm

you could ask a friend to twist and hold the cat where the sensor clears while you tighten the bolts the b pipe.. thats what we did
