Who knows about it: Jdm HX D15b Vtec-E motor.
I don't even know WHY i'm posting this up. But hell with it. Nobody knew about the HX motor, d16y5.. so I don't expect much here.
I might be getting one from JARCO here in GA.. they've got it sitting and my pos DX motor needs to be replaced. Hmmm.
ANy info?

For the record JDM engines don't end in a #. Hence B16A, B18C, etc. If you look at the engine and see the engine code for an HX it will have whatever power the HX has. Putting this with an EX transmission wouldn't be that bad.
You're probably talking about the JDM D15B VTi Motor...there was no HX in japan
the 92-95 model is essentially a D15Z1 block with a D16Z6 head and pistons with a more aggressive cam. Its power output is comprable to a D16Z6.

Just wondering, Why?

The 96-00 JDM D15B has 3-stage VTEC...which combines the VTEC-E of the HX and SOHC VTEC of the D16Y8...

I think the HX has roller rockers for rocker arms.
like little bearings on the rocker arms that contact the cam, so less friction,
instead of just a solid rocker arm that just slides on the cam.

I love to see HX setups. Not enough really. I want one so bad.</TD></TR></TABLE>
No doubt bro, i plan on keeping the HX, no swap, i can do something with this motor.

just make sure you double check what you are buying..
there is a jdm d15b that is vtec-e and is basically the same pos as the vx.. you can tell the the valve cover/cylinder head.
