what kind of grease is used to torque the head bolts down?

just as topic states.....would anyone happen to know what it is?

"Grease" was a movie with John Travolta, 30wt motor oil is what is used with stock head bolts and the fact. manual.

different manufacturers call for different kind of lubes when torquing head bolts. ARP gives different torque values if you are using 30wt than if you are using ARP moly lube. Do some reserach and use what the manufaturer calls for

thanks guys....cant seem to find what the manufacturers want....thats why i asked u guys...i never knew that it was motor oil....just thought it was grease....since its thick and black.

theyre stock head bolts.....and there off a b16 and planning to put them back on. since i did a piston change over
