definatly worth it! What engine are you running? How fast does the turbo spool up? I've never heard of that turbo before, homemade turbo kits are bad ***.
I don't know about any rebuilding kits or anything, just thought i'd drop a bump and some encouragment and good luck

that turbo will suck on a honda...save the money from a rebuild kit and just get something good.

It will die out badly up top..why put someting on that is out of its effeciency range so quick? hell even on a 1.8t @ stock boost it is STILL out of its effeciency range. Ive Put quite a few APR Stg 3 kits on 1.8t's... the ko3 goes straight to the dumpster

I would not run the K03. A bunch of my friends have 1.8t's that are chipped and so on. The turbo will spool really fast but up top you will have nothing. For the money it will prob cost you to rebuild that you could just buy a decent size turbo used in the classifieds here.

Also if you want to stay with the KO3 you can prob find one dirt cheap on vortex or audiworld that has low miles. Most people dump them for Ko4's which are still really tiny. Some VW people are starting to run the T28's.

I guess it depends on your goals. If you just want to be able to say hey I have a turbo civic then use the K03 but if you want to make atleast a little decent power dump it and get a better flowing turbo.

Hope that helps.

you will be much happier with a straight T3. A 60 trim t3 will be very cheap and work great up to 275-300hp

I have put several turbos that weren't even as small as the ko3 on SOHC hondas and they all fell off up top and spooled too fast to have a smooth power band. BIG waste of time. don't go any samller than a straight t3 of some sort.

It's not a terrible turbo, but it is tiny. A friend has a 1.8T Audi, and that thing would move in the low end, but it died really bad on the top end. Even with his new K04, it still falls flat in the higher RPM's. I've got a T3 on my wife's '00 Integra, and it's seeing full boost ~2800 rpm. And the top end is pretty decent.

If you want a "fresh" one, I got one off of an all road with a blown wastegate. Just need to weld it shut and get an external, it only had 5000 miles on it when it was pulled for the wastegate.....PM me.
