Default QUESTION?...cold air intake and sucking up water...

For a cold air intake does the filter have to be fully submerged to suck up water?..and how much water will mess up your engine?...like do you recommend buying a bypass valve?..does it work?..is there ways to avoid sucking up water?..

It does not have to be fully submerged to cause damage. There is no certain ammount it can take before it gets damaged.

Bypass valve only works if the filter is fully sumerged.

Ways to avoid sucking up water? Make sure you have splash guards installed, and install short ram if possible.

I would just get rid of the CIA and replace it with a shorter/stock one. From what I understand it was more of a fad then anything, because there are far superior products out there.

Try searching too

shorts rams own you!!!!!!! Who cares about cold air intakes...a intake is an intake it usually only gives you 2 - 3 hp? Just buy a ebay clone short ram for 20-40 bucks on ebay.com. Oh yeah k & n filter owns you too so buy one of those too.
